The programs are designed to provide state of the art management and leadership education for technical professionals, including engineers, scientists and project managers functioning within technology-oriented organizations, while creating and disseminating new knowledge through research and professional activities.
You can choose one of three Master of Science degrees in
Engineering Management (EM), Science
Management (SM) or Project Management
(PM). EM and SM are for the students
advancing their career from a technical
specialty to managerial leadership while
maintaining their expertise in their technical functions.
EM is for engineers and SM is for non-engineers while EM and SM focus on vertical functions, the curriculum of PM is for cross-functional, process-oriented approach.

"During my tenure as an MSPM student, specifically,
I’ve successfully executed two North Slope design

functioning oilfield. These opportunities have built
upon themselves, certainly in part due to the skills
I’ve acquired from the UAA MSPM program."
