Students' comments on the course:

Spring 2006:
- "This is a good introductory level class on the issues involve in project management. Being able to watch the class on video is excellent, as is being able to turn in homework on the bulletin (Discussion Board) board."

- "The instructor was very enthusiastic and energetic. The binders are excellent and they help in the learning process. The amount of information conveyed was well worth the course, even at the “double tuition” rate. Thank you."

- "Dr. Ra is passionate about the MSPM Program. A Master in PM."

- "I liked the fact that real experience was expressed in the class."

Fall 2005:
- "Dr. Ra is an enthusiastic supporter of Project Management as a profession. Almost 100% of this course was immediately applicable to my job - a first for any class I've taken. Overall, a superb course well worth the time and money invested."

- "This course is one of the single most beneficial I have taken in all my academic studies. Can truly apply to my job as a Program Manager! Excellent out of class experience and trips."

- "I really enjoyed Dr. Ra's 'infectious enthusiasm' in regards to Project Management. After each class I felt as though I was on the cutting edge of a world changing profession. I was always eager to complete the assignments and apply what I learned in my job the very next day."

- "I thought that his [Dr. Ra's] emphasis on 'Project Management is people management' was the key! The tools and techniques are laid out in PMBOK but how to apply them to people is really the essence of what I learned in PM601. Thanks Dr. Ra."

- "It gave me a clear understanding of what project management is. Easy to follow the presentations. Guest speakers provided helpful information from the practical point of view."

- "[I liked] the variety of different learning aids and the fact that students were encouraged to share knowledge with others (when students present their assignments in class - that helps to see weaknesses in oneself)."

- "The different experiences brought to the course by the different students greatly enriched my learning experience."

Spring 2005:
- "This course is very applicable to my work and is one of the few classes that I have been able to immediately extract value from as applied to my job. It is excellent. The program is excellent!"

- "I learned more in this course than I have in any other university course I have taken. There was a good balance of concepts and real-life examples demonstrating these concepts. The homework was and excellent exercise for working through the class objectives."

-"I liked that it was a practical course. It is directly applicable to the work I do, yet it also causes me to expand my thinking, consider new ways to do my work, and consider broader issues and concepts."
