Six Sigma Project Management Training

Six Sigma is a disciplined, data driven approach and methodology to eliminate defects six standards of deviation between the mean and nearest specification limit in any process.  This methodology can be used in many environments including manufacturing as well as transactional services and for product and service creation and delivery:  It can be applied to improve exiting processes: define, measure, analyze, improve and control as well as “designed-in” from the onset of a product or service development project:  define, measure, analyze, design and verify.

The ESPM department is currently in the process of designing and developing this course so that it can be tuned for application to many Alaskan product, project and service delivery organizations in a range of industry sectors.

This course may be offered as a stand-alone professional training course or included in the MSPM degree curriculum.  We would be happy to hear from industry leaders to get feedback on how to best apply this methodology to specific business, project and process challenges.

Who should attend:

Project Managers and project team members; system and process analysts; manufacturing and process engineers; R&D and quality engineers; people involved in using data driven tools to systematically improve process, service delivery or transaction performance.
