ASCE 1993 FREEMAN FELLOWSHIP
The Freeman Fund was established in 1924 by John R. Freeman, Past Resident and Honorary Member ASCE. The income from the fund is to be used in the aid and encouragement of young engineers, especially in research work, for objectives as indicated in the rules. the amount of the stipend will be awarded based on funds available from the endowment.
Eligibility:
Applicant must be a national ASCE Member, in any grade, and must be in good standing at the time of application and the time of award.
ASCE National Membership applications may be submitted along with scholarship applications.
Applicant may be a citizen of any country.

Application includes:
Brief application form.
Statement of purposes for which the funds are expected to be used.
Minimum of three recommendation forms (included in application package) to be completed by applicant's Student Chapter Faculty Advisor and at least two other members of the faculty.

Selection:
In a given year there may be more than one recipient, or no recipient of no meritorious applications are received.
Selection is based on the quality of the application.
Selection is made my the Society's Education Activities Committee for recommendation to the Committee on Society Honors.
Deadline:
February 15, annually
