This course is designed to give junior civil engineering students the ability to design basic transportation facilities.

Transportation system; transportation planning; highways and urban transportation; vehicle, traffic and road characteristics; highway design and traffic engineering; vehicle motion and flow models; pavement design; airport design/planning; port and harbor planning; economy and environmental issues, environmental impact studies.
